How are the prizes distributed during a Progressive Jackpot Tournament?
Of the total of the players' stake money, 25% always goes to QuizWinners (to cover the administrative costs involved in running the game). The remaining 75% is the prize money which goes to the winner or winners.
The more people take part in a Progressive Jackpot Tournament, the more players will win a prize. If there are 2 to 4 players, all the prize money goes to one single winner. If there are 5 to 7 contestants there are 2 winners. In the first situation, the single winner receives all of the total prize money. In the second situation, the first-place winner receives the 65% of the prize money and the second-place winner receives 35%. The total number of winners may be a high as 65, when 165 or more players take part.
NB: if every player in a tournament scores zero (0) points, none of the players wins a prize and the total (100%) of the players' stake money goes to QuizWinners.
